The George business landscape behind the 044 code
The Garden Route runs on tourism and hospitality — George, Knysna, Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay — with forestry, furniture manufacturing and a growing semigration business base.
Within the 044 footprint, the commercial activity concentrates around the George CBD and airport precinct, plus Knysna, Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay.
A business advertising a 044 number is read by local customers as being part of that
economy rather than a national call centre.
Who typically runs a 044 line
